Specialized Lecture-Style Tutoring

Bring your notes. We’ll bring the lesson.

Before every session, your tutor reviews your class notes and arrives with a lesson plan built around what you need to know for your exams. Then we teach it lecture-style, explaining the why behind every step. We’ll answer every question you have, but you never have to come with any.

Your session starts before you arrive.

Send us what your class is covering. We do the preparing, so your session is spent learning.

1
You send your materials
Notes, slides, homework, study guides, or problem sets. Whatever shows what you’re learning.
2
We review your class
Your tutor studies what your teacher or professor is covering right now.
3
We find the gaps
We identify the concepts, and the earlier foundations, that need attention.
4
We prepare the lesson
A structured plan built around your course, ready before you log on.
5
Your session
Teach, practice, and apply until you can solve it on your own.

You don’t need to know what you don’t know.

Often the topic that feels impossible isn’t the real problem. It depends on something taught weeks earlier. By reviewing your materials and watching how you work problems, we trace the confusion back to its cause and fix it there.

What it feels like
“I don’t get equilibrium.”
ICE tables and K expressions feel random.
→
The real gap
Mole ratios
How amounts of reactants and products change together.
→
The fix
Rebuild the foundation
Once ratios make sense, ICE tables follow logically.

Most tutoring teaches you what to do. Orango teaches you why it works.

Tests change the numbers, the structures, and the wording. Understanding the concept is what lets you handle a problem you’ve never seen.

✕ Pattern memorization
See a familiar-looking problem
Recall a procedure
Repeat the steps
Stuck when the test changes it
✓ Conceptual understanding
Understand what’s happening
Identify the principles involved
Reason through the problem
Apply it to new questions
What We Teach

Chemistry, from high school through O-Chem.

01

High School & AP Chemistry

Standard, honors, and AP Chemistry. We build the foundations later units depend on, like moles, stoichiometry, and bonding, and prepare students for class tests and the AP exam using their teacher’s actual materials.

02

College General Chemistry I & II

Including pre-med, pre-health, and engineering sequences. Stoichiometry, thermochemistry, equilibrium, acids and bases, kinetics, and electrochemistry, taught so the math actually makes sense.

03

College Organic Chemistry

O-Chem I and II, built around electron movement, resonance, acid-base logic, and mechanisms, so reactions stop feeling like flashcards and start following patterns.

Book a Tutor

More like a private lesson than traditional tutoring.

Prepared, but never rigid. Every session follows your class and adjusts to you.

01
Teach
Clear, concept-first explanation of what your class is covering.
02
Connect
Show why it works and how it ties to what you already know.
03
Practice
Work through carefully chosen problems together.
04
Apply
Move to unfamiliar and test-style questions on your own.
05
Adjust
If a missing foundation shows up, we fix it before moving on.

When chemistry finally clicks.

Real students. Their words.

Matt Breidigan, founder of Orango

Built by an engineer who became obsessed with how students learn chemistry.

Matt Breidigan
Founder, Orango

Matt studied Chemical Engineering at UW–Madison and spent years tutoring chemistry. Across different schools, teachers, and professors, he kept seeing students stuck on the same underlying gaps. He founded Orango in 2023 around a structured way of teaching: find the gap, prepare the lesson, explain the why. Every Orango tutor is trained in that same method.

From your class materials to a prepared lesson.

1

Book and tell us about your class

Pick a session time and tell us your course, your teacher or professor, and what’s coming up next.

2

Send your course materials

Upload your notes, slides, homework, or study guides right in the booking form. We use them to plan what to teach, not to hand you answers.

3

Learn from a prepared lesson

Your tutor reviews everything beforehand and arrives with a plan: teach the concept, practice it, then work up to test-style problems you can solve on your own.

You don’t have to know exactly what to ask.

Send us what you’re learning. We’ll figure out where to start.

High school chemistry, AP Chemistry, General Chemistry, or Organic Chemistry: book a session, send your class materials, and your tutor will arrive with a lesson built around what you need.
